Children's Day Celebration in our Society

Children's Day is celebrated each year on November 14 in India as a tribute to the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.But after Jawaharlal Nehru's death in 1964, it was unanimously decided to celebrate his birthday as 'Baal Diwas' in India as a token for his love and affection towards children

Children's Day is celebrated across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly known as Chacha Nehru among children, he advocated for children to have fulfilled education.

India started celebrating Children's Day in 1959. Initially, it was celebrated on November 20 along with other countries. But after Nehru's death in 1964, it was unanimously decided to celebrate his birthday as Children's Day.
