Feluda liked solving mysteries that had the taste of murder in it.

The story goes this way, one day when Feluda was sitting on a diwan(bed) and reading a book , when suddenly Jatayu came in the room with a letter in his hand . The letter  was of the famous hunter and author , Mahitosh Sinha Roy who had invited Feluda to his huge bungalow . Feluda readily agreed to go with Lalmohan babu to Mahitosh Sinha Roy's palace .

After 2 days Feluda and his friends (Tapesh and Jatayu ) went to Mahitosh's Sinha Roy's place .  Sinha roy's secretary , Torit Sengupta  received them at the station.  . The palace was splendid and big. They freshened up and went to meet Mahitosh Sinha Roy . Mr. Roy met them in the hall . After a while , Mr. Roy took Feluda to a room that was full of animal heads and skins . There he gave Feluda a script . In the ,  script was written a puzzle , which Mahitosh Sinha Roy expected Feluda to solve . It was a complicated puzzle which was a bit confusing . Feluda agreed and took up the challenge of solving the puzzle. They had decided to go to the jungle the next morning .
